The first product I designed while working at Archer Components was this Multi Function Remote (MFR) for wirelessly triggering the Archer D1x electronic gear shifter (see here). I was the sole engineer working on this project from concept to production. When the user presses one of the wired buttons, a signal is sent back to the main remote, which is transmitted to the shifter via bluetooth to change the gear. The buttons can be mounted virtually anywhere on the bicycle cockpit. I designed their shape for ultimate versatility, so they can be fixed by zip tie, adhesive, or under bar tape. The main remote is It is particularly useful for recumbent cycles or adaptive cycles, as the versatility allows it to work with the specific needs of the user.
